Pluto is a dwarf planet
People are debating on which they should declare Pluto a planet or keep it a dwarf planet.
It was the 9th planet in our solar system until they declared Pluto a dwarf planet

-Since Pluto is so small,it is not a planet any more.
-Pluto is the farthest from the Sun.
-Pluto is a dwarf planet.

Pluto was discovered in 1930.
Pluto takes 248 years to orbit the earth.
Pluto has .066 of Earth’s gravity.

My Facts-1.Pluto has an atmosphere. Pluto has a thin atmosphere that is made up of nitrogen, methane, and carbon dioxide.
2.Pluto has 3 moons. Plutos 3 moons are Charon, Nix, and Hydra. Nix and Hydra were discovered in May 2005 using the Hubble space telescope.
3. If Pluto was closer to the sun it would be a comet because it would sprout a tail and become a spectacular comet. It would become a comet because it is half rock and half ice. This is a similar ratio to many rocky comets in the solar system. And over millions of years, the solar wind would blast the icy structure away causing Pluto to lose mass.

I am a third grader at the Village School in Montgomery NJ in Mrs Kenney and Miss Loiacono’s class. The three thing I have learned about Pluto are
1.) Pluto was named by an 11 year old girl Venetia Burney of Oxford England - after the Roman god of the underworld
2.) Pluto has three moons Charon, Nix and Hydra
3.) Pluto was known as the 9th planet when discovered, but its orbit actually moves in front of Neptune the 8th plant at times. Pluto is now known as a dwarf planet

Pluto was discovered by Clyde Tombaugh
10 largest body orbiting the sun
Got its name from 11 year old girl in Oxford England. She named it Pluto after a roman god of the under world.

My name is Harry and I am a fifth grade student at Sol Feinstone Elementary School in Miss Petravage’s class.
My three facts are:
1. Pluto’s temperature can range from a low of 33 Kelvin (-240 degrees Celsius or -400 degrees Fahrenheit) to 55 Kelvin (-218 degrees Celsius or -360 degrees Fahrenheit). The average surface temperature on Pluto is 44 Kelvin (-229 Celsius or -380 Fahrenheit).
2. Pluto’s journey around the Sun takes 248 Earth years. This means that, since its discovery in 1930, it still has 177 years to go until it has made a complete orbit around the Sun.
3. A day on Pluto is equivalent to Earth’s 6 days and 9 hours

1: Pluto was discovered by Clyde Tombaugh in 1930. He was able to see a slight dimming.
2: Pluto is the only Planet to not be explored by any probes or rocket.
3: Lots of people consiter it a dwarf planet.
I am a big fan of you:)

1.) The sun would look like a bright star from Pluto, since they are so far away from each other.
2.) Pluto’s thin atmosphere contains traces of methane, nitrogen and carbon dioxide.

1.) Pluto is an atmosphere

1.) Pluto is technically no longer a planet, but it is still the 10th largest body orbiting around the sun.
2.) Some astronomers believe that Pluto was once a moon of Neptune but it somehow escaped into its own orbit.

Fact #1: Pluto was discovered in 1930 by a fortunate accident. How do people find Pluto on accident?
Fact #2: Pluto has not been visted by man. I bet the reason why is because they can’t find it! because its soo small.
Fact #3: Pluto is the second most contrasty body in the Solar System. Wow even now that it isn’t a plant, it’s very interesting.
