Sharks
I would see rows and rows of teeth big strong teeth as strong as a tree. It feels sharp and dangerous. It will scare me so much.

Our class read this poem this morning. One student thinks it MUST be a “he” looking in the shark’s mouth because “girls don’t like stinky stuff”! Love the way he supported his thinking. Most of us think that someone got eaten at the end. This was surprising to many in our class. We thought it was just going to tell us about shark’s teeth. This was a fun poem to read.
Thanks for sharing it!

After reading the poem, our class answered the questions on our marker boards. We think it sounds like someone gets eaten at the end of the poem. Some of us thought this was sad but some of us thought it was a funny way for the author to finish the poem. We were wondering. Mr. Simon, were you the one looking inside the shark’s mouth?? We hope not because we sure do love Writing Wednesday!
